South East London is a wonderful place: it’s close to the city, rental prices are as reasonable as you’ll find for London’s zone 1/2, you can generally cycle to work in no more than forty-five minutes, and occasionally you’ll be walking down that same old street you always walk down, and you’ll notice something new. For me, that something new was The Peckham Space a gallery space tucked into the courtyard of the Peckham Library at the bottom of the high street. This Peugeot bicycle was locked outside.
The current exhibition is Open 2011, displaying work from local artists that describes their views of the area and gives the public an opportunity to buy original artworks. If you have any way of getting yourself to SE15 (the transport options are numerous!) pay a visit to the Peckham Space before December 17.
